The strength of the interview is how Raymond Barfield is able to see the joy despite having such a sorrowful job. The interview was very detailed, and he explained his thoughts with care and compassion. He knew what he was talking about, and he was able to connect with Janice Lynch questions. He didn’t get offended at all. The strengths of the interview were overall detailed and thoughtful. One of the questions that I thought was thoughtfully developed was “How do we train doctors, and how can we do better?” I thought this question was thoughtfully developed because when dealing with children who have cancer and have a high chance of death it can be hard for a doctor to deal and cope with that. And especially today we see doctors neglect and abuse patients. So having such an intelligent doctor like Raymond speak his opinion on what can be done to help doctors improve how they deal with patients was really smart. The journalist leads the interview by starting out with small basic questions before getting into the deeper questions. The responses of the experts that stood out to me was when he answered the question about his opinion on God. Raymond said that he still loves God and how God helps with knowledge and helps him with growth. This shocked me because a lot of people especially when it comes to death blames God for it, but he still loves God and cherishes him.
The strengths in the interview “crime scene investigation” was how honest he was about his career and the things that you see and experience while on the job. He was very straight up and got to the point of the question. One of the questions that I thought was thoughtfully developed was “what is your average day on a crime scene”. I thought this was an interesting question because it shows how normal death can be for people. Like when regular people in society see death it's tragic and a lot of people can’t handle death. But for crime scene investigators it doesn’t affect them a lot of the time. The journalist leads the interview by asking simple questions. I wish she could have asked more developed and detailed questions.
